- It all depends. If the programmer and the program designer are the same
- person they *must* know the customer and the customer's needs from first
- hand conversation of the program will be worthless or worse. If proper
- design is done by someone who throughly understands the needs of the
- customer and how to design a program the programmer does not need to see
- the customer.
